This event is being held at our Post on September 8th for the Chamber but of course our Post will benefit from the profit on the drinks. We are also a member of the chamber. Please join us there!
As many of you know our very old AC/Heater units on the roof have started failing and the prognoses is they will not last the summer. We are hoping to have two new units installed soon for $10,000 but do not have enough money in our accounts. Have you considered a tax-deductable charitable contribution to our Post? Or another option is to lend the Post some money at a 2% rate just approved by the membership at the last meeting. This could be at a amortized return over a 2-3 year term. 2% may not sound great but it’s probably a lot better than you are getting now from your bank!
Any support would be greatly appreciated. Contact Tom the Quartermaster or me if you can help.
Come join us on Sunday May 20th at 12:30 PM for a real FREE Lunch and find out about getting your FREE Benefits from the VA. Don’t miss it!

As of Dec. 13th 2011 the Los Angeles County Veteran Service Office has been relocated from the main bldg at the Sepulveda VA. Myself and our dept has made every effort to stay at this location as it benefits you MOST! Over the last 7 years I’ve assisted you on various claims and VA benefits and for the most part with high success this was in part that we were stationed in the main bldg of the Sepulveda VA Clinic which gave me full access to your medical providers/doctors we are now moving to an open cubicle where various other offices are located in public sight where all pertinent and PRIVATE information will be COMPROMISED!!!! THE VA IS VIOLATING THERE MOST SACRED REGULATION WHICH IS YOUR PRIVACY / HIPPA ACT. Myself and my chain of command have pleaded with the VA regarding this issue with no response.
You may or may not know that the Los Angeles County Dept of Military and Veteran Affairs is the largest service organization that exist within L.A County the Sepulveda VA office where I am located files over 150 CLAIMS PER MONTH! and serves over 200 veterans per month! Many of those claims consist of Post Traumatic Stress syndrome/ Traumatic Brain Injury and Military Sexual Trauma.
I ask all of you to please ensure that your privacy isn’t taken from you, i ask that you ensure that your brothers and sisters returning from war have a private and trusting environment to share there injuries & illnesses with there Legal Veterans Advocate. The Sepulveda VA has a Site manager and a patients advocate who can stop this from happening any other inquiries to whomever you choose to make within the VA system will be greatly appreciated by myself and our entire dept.
May God Bless you all and I wish you a Merry Xmas and Happy New year!
We won a 3rd place trophy at the Granada Hills Holiday Parade on December 4, 2011.
Thanks to everyone that helped!
