PLEASE HELP YOUR POST WHILE HAVING GREAT FUN! THIS IS THE EVENT TO REMEMBER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!
We have been talking about this great fundraiser for several months at the meetings and now Saturday June 7th is getting close. All you have to do is get people to go to the ticket site below and buy tickets. Tell them to click on VFW Post 2323 at the bottom of the purchase tickets page for their probable tax free purchase, to award our Post $20 for every VIP ticket and $10 for every regular ticket they buy at no additional cost to them. If we get people to click for 150 regular tickets and 150 VIP tickets the Post gets $4,500 plus another $500-$1,000 depending on how many of you help at the event, and also get to see at least some of the Beatles show for free if you can help from 11 AM till 7PM on June 7th. If you can help less hours you still have about a 75% chance of seeing part of the show for free.
THERE IS NO FINANCIAL RISK TO THE POST! The knowledge we will gain from working at this event for future VFW fundraisers is Priceless!
This would be enough to pay off our final bill on last year’s new air conditioners plus make other Post improvements!
Please let me know ASAP if you can volunteer for the event. Jobs range from sitting down checking people in and issuing armbands to roving troubleshooters and security. We will also have some uniformed security as backups.
It will be a fantastic event with Beatles N’ Beer, Food and Wine. On top of a big parking structure just like the Beatles last show together.
Only a little over 300 tickets for each of the two shows will be sold. This is a very exclusive event. We expect this to be a sell-out soon. Work fast to be sure our Post gets a big cut. We will be signing up other VFW Posts and other charities if we do not move the very limited ticket supply very quickly.
For more information go to beatlesandbeer.org, see the attached flyer, or email me.

The last details for our Official Visit are coming together. I thank all of you that are helping see this to fruition. Our dinner on the 12th will be held at Post #2323, located at 17522 Chatsworth St. Granada Hills, CA 91344. Their post phone number is (818) 366-7799. The cost of dinner will be $10.00 and will include the following: Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic toast, salad and desert. At 5 PM there will be greeting and a no-host bar until 6PM. At 6PM we’ll be seated for dinner and the dress code for this one is casual. Our honored guests will be leaving the following morning, so this will be the last chance to meet and greet Department Commander Earl Fulk and Department President Rene Fulk.
If you plan to attend, please notify Ray Pollok at [email protected] (818) 366-9393. Also remember if you plan to attend the tour on January 11th, I’ll need your name and social before the cut-off on the 28th of December. Thank you.
Please get your reservations in at the Post and join us December 31st for a fantastic New Years Eve.
As many of you know our very old AC/Heater units on the roof have started failing and the prognoses is they will not last the summer. We are hoping to have two new units installed soon for $10,000 but do not have enough money in our accounts. Have you considered a tax-deductable charitable contribution to our Post? Or another option is to lend the Post some money at a 2% rate just approved by the membership at the last meeting. This could be at a amortized return over a 2-3 year term. 2% may not sound great but it’s probably a lot better than you are getting now from your bank!
Any support would be greatly appreciated. Contact Tom the Quartermaster or me if you can help.
